Pleo Getting Closer and Packaging Artwork

Caleb Chung, the inventor of the Pleo and co-founder of the company that's bringing the Pleo to the market has sent a nice little email giving us an update as to it's progress.

I was starting to get a bit concerned about the lack of news (not that I didn't think it'd happend, just that I didn't think I could cope waiting).

The email he sent basically says there'll be an announcement next month (probably when I'm on holiday :-( ). I'm sure all of us want it out now, but I'm sure we realise that it's the first product they're launching and it's going to set the tone of the next product releases. To quote Caleb directly they're "really close to bringing Pleo to the Market". :D

What does everyone think to the packaging? Well I can't see the writing on the right hand side but, unless you already knew what the Pleo was, you wouldn't know that it was a robotic, life-like dinosaur. Perhaps the picture of the dinonsaur would be enough to get children (and adults) to pick it off the shelves? Perhaps with the scope of the internet economy thesedays it'll be the buzz around from blogs and other sites that will help push it into the shopping baskets - electronic or otherwise!

I can't wait for all the hype to kick off in the mainstream media!
