Giving The Pleo For Christmas? Charge The Battery First
There was one thing that annoyed me when I got my Pleo - that I had to charge it for 2 /3 hours before I could play with it.
If you are giving one for Christmas, I'd advise taking the battery and charging it first and then putting it back in.
I'm sure your family/friends would want to play with it straight away!
Also if you have any other tips you'd like to pass on, just email me here and I'll post them for you! Don't forget you can send pics too!

I just wanted to thank you. I almost gave up hope getting one for my son for Xmas but thanks to your blog I have secured one at Hamleys - THANK YOU. BTW - I won't personally be bothering with IWOOT - they could not be bothered to reply with helpful information on when they were expecting stock - I just got a standard "thank you for your enquiry" email - I gave up waiting on hold to actually speak to a person..
I am a bit concerned then because I charged the battery when I received pleo and it was only about 1 hour before it was charged. Do you think something is wrong with my battery then? I have not tried it yet in pleo because its for Christmas. Did anyone else have the same thing? Thanks Anthony

About the battery - I think it looked like my battery charged quickly first time, but last night it took a good 2/3 hours to recharge.
But I was having a bit of a "Fraser" moment (CH4)! That afternoon was a bit of a blur to be honest!!
I'd try the battery out for a good stint and see what happens. I've not heard from anyone in the US that had any problems ... so touch wood!
