How To Update Pleo's Personality Via SD Card

Just in case you've missed it, you can update or add personality modes for Pleo by downloading them via pleoworld.com and then uploading them via an SD card. I've just ordered two 8gb SD cards by mistake from Amazon so I hope any updates won't be more than 8gb ;-)

How to give Pleo a new mode or behavior via SD card:

You will need:

* A blank Secure Digital Memory Card (SD Card).
* A small amount of memory is fine (32 MB). Here is a link to a site that sells such cards.
* SD Card Reader/Writer. Your computer may have a built-in SD card reader/writer. If not, you can order one online or pick one up at your local electronics retailer. Click to see examples of reader/writers at Amazon.com and Radio Shack


Here are the steps:

1. Download the feature onto your desktop
2. Insert blank SD card into the reader/writer. If the card has a warranty sticker on it, remove it first.
3. Copy the file from your desktop to the SD card.
4. Remove the SD card from the reader/writer.
5. Turn Pleo off.
6. Insert the SD card into the SD card slot in Pleo’s belly.
7. Turn Pleo on.
8. The feature on the SD card will temporarily override Pleo’s usual personality.
9. Have fun!

To Disable the New Feature

1. Turn Pleo off.
2. Remove the SD card. Gently push the card and release to pop it out.
3. Turn Pleo back on.
4. Pleo’s regular personality is restored.
